This policy explains how Book Safari Tours (“we”) handles personal data on booksafaritours.com and in Book Safari Tours, our plugin that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Meta AI work with Book Safari Tours on your behalf. Book Safari Tours is the publisher of the plugin and is responsible for it.
Personal data we collect
- Contact and account details: name, email address, phone number, and billing and delivery addresses, when you contact us, create an account or place an order.
- Order information: the products you buy, order totals, order status and notes.
- Plugin connection data: the sign-in tokens that link an AI assistant to the plugin, and which AI app is connected.
- Plugin activity records: which action was requested, on which record, when, the outcome and from which AI app. These records do not contain the contents of orders or messages.
Data we do not collect through the plugin
The plugin does not collect or process payment card numbers, bank details, government identity numbers, health information, passwords or API keys. It does not read your conversations with an AI assistant; it only receives the specific request the assistant sends to it.
Why we use personal data
- To answer enquiries, fulfil orders and provide customer support.
- To carry out the requests an authorised person makes through an AI assistant, such as looking up or updating an order.
- To keep our service secure, prevent misuse and keep a record of changes.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Who receives personal data
- The AI assistant you connect (for example OpenAI for ChatGPT, or Anthropic for Claude), which receives the results of the actions you ask it to run. Their own privacy policies apply to what they do with it.
- Our service providers: aiplugingenerator.com, which operates the plugin for us, and Cloudflare, which hosts it.
- Payment and delivery partners, where needed to complete an order.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
How long we keep personal data
- Account and order records: for as long as you are a customer and afterwards for as long as legal, tax and accounting rules require.
- Plugin connection tokens: access tokens expire after one hour and renewal tokens after 30 days; all are deleted when you disconnect.
- Plugin activity records: until the plugin is removed or you ask us to delete them.
- Results returned to an AI assistant are not stored by the plugin.
Your choices and rights
- Disconnect the plugin at any time in your AI assistant’s settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your personal data, or to correct or delete it.
- Object to or restrict how we use your data, where the law gives you that right.
To use any of these, email support@booksafaritours.com. We respond within 30 days.
Security
Connections to the plugin are encrypted, access requires sign-in, and the credentials that link the plugin to our site are stored encrypted. Actions that change or delete data need confirmation first.
Children
Our services and the plugin are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
